GOLFZON has introduced its first City Golf\nlocation \u2014 and it’s urban golf model for playing a full 18 holes indoors \u2014\nin China. And worldwide expansion is planned.<\/span> <\/span>GOLFZON<\/span><\/p>

GOLFZON has\nintroduced its urban golf course model \u2014 City Golf \u2014 at a convention center in\nTianjin, China, with a hybrid, indoor setup that combines simulator golf with\nreal green complexes.<\/span><\/p>

And while\nthe format is debuting in China, the plan is to expand City Golf to other major\ncities worldwide.<\/span><\/p>

Backed by\nGOLFZON China, which operates 230 screen golf facilities in the world\u2019s\nsecond-most populous country, City Golf has an 18-hole setup that features one\nscreen and one synthetic green per hole across a 106,000-square-foot venue. The\nlocation also features a fitness area along with a dining component.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cCity Golf\nis the most ideal urban golf course, applying GOLFZON\u2019s world-class golf\nsimulator technology and golf course management expertise,\u201d said GOLFZON Newdin\nGroup Chairman Kim Young-Chan. \u201cWe expect it to become the world\u2019s leading golf\nplatform, offering a new and unique golf experience akin to playing a round on\na real course right in the middle of the city, starting with China and\nexpanding globally.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

After hitting tee shots and approach shots in a simulator golf bay, the\nscreen will raise and participants at City Golf will then move to a unique\nputting green to finish the individual hole.GOLFZON<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In the City\nGolf format, participants on Hole 1 would hit tee shots and approach shots (if\nneeded) in the screen-golf bay, which retracts for the players to finish the\nhole with putts on an actual green. After putting out, the players would move\nto the second hold, which has a new screen and new specially designed green.<\/span><\/p>

Each of the 18 holes at City Golf features a specially\ndesigned green with its own unique characteristics.GOLFZON<\/span><\/p>

City Golf\nis essentially a full 18-hole round played indoors, on a far smaller footprint\nthan an outdoor course.<\/span><\/p>

It\u2019s a\ndifferent setup than GOLFZON\u2019s current presence in the U.S., as the South\nKorean-headquartered company partnered with Troon on golf entertainment\nsimulator venues called Golfzon Social. The initial locations in the New York\narea cater to golfers and non-golfers alike, offering interactive arcade games\nas well as game-mode favorites \u2014 like darts and window smash \u2014 in addition to\nmore than 200 top golf courses available to play on the company\u2019s high-end\nsimulators.<\/span><\/p>

With City\nGolf, GOLFZON China is seeking to establish a new golf culture in a market\nwhere the game\u2019s popularity continues to grow.<\/span><\/p>

GOLFZON has\nmore than 11,000 commercial locations in 63 countries worldwide. Most of them,\nparticularly the more than 5,000 venues in South Korea, are more focused on\ntraditional golf than entertainment golf, with GOLFZON recording more than 90\nmillion rounds a year globally played using its simulator technology.<\/span><\/p>

Simulator\ngolf continues to gain in popularity in the U.S., with 73% growth in the total\nnumber of participants from 2019 to 2023, according to the National Golf\nFoundation. As successful franchises such as Five Iron Golf, Topgolf Swing\nSuite, and X Golf continue to add commercial locations, will GOLFZON\u2019s City\nGolf find its way to North America?<\/span><\/p>
